SPRING SELF CARE

All winter long, kapha builds in our bodies then manifests in the spring as allergies, congestion, and sluggish digestion. The accumulation of the heavy, sweet, and oily properties, the very ones that balance vata in the winter, will accumulate as waste (ama) if not cleared in the spring.

In this installment we will practice seasonal kapha-balancing rituals to cleanse the body. Learn self-massage, steam therapy, herbal exfoliation (ubtan), invigorating breathing (pranayama), and appropriate herbs and spices to take.
