On November 11th I am offering a Reiki I class with Leslie Ross. During a Reiki class, all kinds of wonderful things happen. You will learn more about what Reiki is and how to incorporate it into your daily life.
The essence of a Reiki class is receiving Reiki into your life. You will receive Reiki into your body and open your energy centers in a powerful process called a Placement.
Reiki is a healing, gentle energy. While the process of receiving Reiki is a spiritual initiation, Reiki has many practical applications. We learn ways to use it on ourselves and others. It brings balance, clears energy, opens intuition and integrates beautifully into your life.
So check in and ask your guidance (however you do that :) if this is right for you. Feel free to send this email to others with a shared interest.
Learn rejuvenating self-care practices for mind + body. Spring is a time for renewal. We will learn ayurvedic techniques to renew the body + spirit including dinacharaya (daily self care routine) and ritucharaya (seasonal self care routine) to balance kapha.
All winter long, kapha builds in our bodies then manifests in the spring as allergies, congestion, and sluggish digestion. The accumulation of the heavy, sweet, and oily properties, the very ones that balance vata in the winter, will accumulate as waste (ama) if not cleared in the spring.
In this installment we will practice seasonal kapha-balancing rituals to cleanse the body. Learn self-massage, steam therapy, herbal exfoliation (ubtan), invigorating breathing (pranayama), and appropriate herbs and spices to take.
Join local healing arts practitioners, Erica Ragusa and Jenni Frank to learn about incorporating herbs, spices, etc. into your daily routine for ultimate health, wellness, and balance. Students will learn how to make a churna (spice mix) to add their food and a tisane (herbal) tea to calm vata.
Learn + experience the doshas as energy manifesting in our body + minds and how that relates to our skin.
In this workshop we will use herbs + essential oils as an organic skin treatment including a face steam, mask, and serum. We will discuss ingredients that benefit different skin types and incorporate them into our demonstration.
A weekly series, totaling four weeks, offered through the Breckenridge Recreation Department and held on the Arts District Campus. Helping participants discover ways to cope with stressors of every day life through mindfulness, meditation, breathing + postures. Drawing on yogic traditions for inner peace.
This is an ongoing monthly series featuring locally made herbal mocktails + a relaxing herbal nidra class. In this session we'll be learning about herbal shrubs, made with fruit. Our featured drink is "Fruits of the Forest" made with locally gathered rasberries + strawberries.
Offered as part of the Breckenridge International Festival of the Arts. Class is free.
Hike in our neighboring woods and discover the names of the wild flowers who grow there. We'll collect some flowers then bring them back to the art studio for a flower pressing.
Yoga is the art of conscious relaxation. Participants, relaxing in a reclining position, will be taken through a guided meditation. The practice is inclusive to all and will give participants an awareness of their subtle and physical bodies and the opportunity to rest deeply. It is the antidote to modern life. After class, enjoy a handmade herbal mocktail to complete your restorative evening. For questions, call 970 453 3364. Please register at least 24 hours in advance using ticket link.
Part of the Breckenridge International Festival of the Arts, this workshop is free to participate (materials cost extra).
